The coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, has caused a lot of havoc, pain, and misery to many. Unfortunately, this includes those in recovery or those battling with drug addiction.

How can we overcome this? During COVID-19, many rehabs or addiction centers with meetings had to pause their meetings, set occupancy limits to how many can be in a room, or have telecommunication meetings.

Luckily, there are various resources to get help both online and in-person during this pandemic. It is essential to continue recovery because there may be a higher risk of relapsing as the coronavirus pandemic remains.

Entering Rehab During COVID-19 in Florida

In Florida, most drug rehabilitation centers are still operational, including Victory Recovery Center.

During this time, Victory Recovery Center has adopted the best protocols to keep their clients and staff, while continuing to provide world-class treatment.

Before you travel or enroll anywhere, you must make sure you are not at severe risk. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), certain demographics, underlying conditions, and age groups are affected differently by the coronavirus. Please review the CDC website to see if you fall into a category that is at most risk.

Also, if you opt to go to meetings in-person, as opposed to teleconferences, practice social distancing, good hygiene, and wear a mask if you are told to do so. Masks are also recommended for those who have symptoms or at-risk. If you are sick, self-quarantine until symptoms subside, or test negative for the coronavirus.
